Business Knowledge

    I would like to thank you for being interested in my blog. I am currently enrolled in the business and technology management degree at Neumont University. I feel that I will be able to make many sectors in a company succeed because I listen to others am willing to be there for anyone. My learning is ever growing. My qualities as a team leader I am able to manage a group of people. I understand how a business is ran and what is effective and efficient for any business. I understand how to create a design document and an executive dashboard which is essential for a business . There are many documents in the business world such as a business plan, and by the time I graduate from Neumont University I will be able to put together most of them.

The business technology management degree has many levels. One is I will understand a little about programing and how to run a business.  I will be able to help a business succeed in many ways such as understanding how to manage a team. I will be able to see what technologies are useful for a company and understand. I would love to be a part of a business that is technology based. My passion for technology will help the business grow and be a successful company. I will always be willing to learn new things and keep my knowledge up to date.

            I enjoy working with people on a daily basis and enjoy learning new things about people. I think I would do really well at managing a business. For example, I am willing to listen to others and understand how they are feeling and try and to make the situation better. Working well with other employees is the only way a business will succeed. Each department in a business needs to work with each other to accomplish the project. I will be able to do this with any company in the business world.

            One of my goals is to be able to have a company become more efficient in technology so that the company can run more smoothly. The technologies that I am referring to can be from computer to better equipment that is need to make the business grow. I like to understand and find out what new technologies are out and coming out to the world. If the technology will better the company I want that piece to be in the company to better it. Technology is ever growing and will only get more advanced as time goes on. I have kept a promise to myself to keep me updated with new and efficient technologies.

            I have designed executive dashboard which is a document that helps make the company run more effectively and efficient.  The dashboard includes information that is vital to any business such as customers and shipping rates. The information that is on the dashboard is important everyday information that is needed daily, even weekly or monthly.  For example customer information, Transactions, Average sells how much money the consumer is spending. The information that I listed before is important for company that sells products but the information can also be easily changed by adding what other information is important for other business.  This information was based on the research I did from another company and the application that we designed in a class called the Easy Shopper app. The design document that was created tied in with executive dashboard and was proposal to make the executive dashboard work.

            I will be a vital resource to any company because I am knowledgeable in many areas like business and technology.  I will be able to communicate effectively and efficiently to the employees at any company. Understanding how to put together a design document is very important in a business. I am also able to put together a business plan for a startup company. A team leader is one of the qualities I possess and am able to put to use in a business setting. The information that I have listed will benefit me and any other company out there. PowerPoint help

 To create a power point presentation the user will:

·       First need to open Power Point by going to the start menu.

·       Then you will need to go to the Microsoft Office Folder and double click on the folder.

·       Will need to open up the application by double clicking on the icon.

·       The software should open up and the user will be able to start working on the project

The first slide that is on the screen is the called the tittle slide that is where the user will put the name of the presentation on the slide.

·       First just click the box that has the word tittle.

·       Second type the tittle of the presentation in that box.

·       The subtitle box is optional that you can put your name or just leave that box blank.

To add a new slide either right click on the side bar that is to the left of the screen or click on the button that has the tittle new slide. There will be many different options on the type of slide available use the slide that will best fit the presentation.  You will be able to add as many slides as needed. There are also options for sound, transitions between slides, animations of slides, and designs of the slides. The transitions allow users to have animation between slides. To find transitions they are under the transitions tab there are multiple transitions pick the best one. The user to start a slide show all that needs to be done is click on the tab that called slide show and start from beginning. The users is now ready to start the project.

My Bio

My Name is Nichole Proestakis and I am a student at Neumont University. A few strengths I have include being a team player and a hard worker. With these strengths, I would be an asset to any company. I developed a sense of maturity faster than others growing up, making me responsible young adult.  I enjoy volunteering because it gives me the opportunity to help others in need, and serve my church and community. For example I volunteer at the Greek Festival in Salt Lake City, Utah helping to make and serve the food. I would like to join the military and serve for my country. I played basketball for six years and softball for one year and enjoyed every minute. I love the outdoors and to be around my family and friends. I do not like to be alone I would rather be with a group of people I love and care about all the time. I would like to be able to travel around the world and see many wonderful sites. I know how to work with a team and have strong fundamentals of understanding how to work with others. I enjoy going to school and expanding my views on different topics. For example during high school I took many diverse classes to better myself as a person. In high school I was on the honor roll and throughout my school career I had won numerous awards. I am a trustworthy and caring person, and I will be there for any one that needs me.

               I have enjoyed computers being a big part of my life leading me to pursue an education at Neumont Unversity.  Technology is always changing and I enjoy learning and understanding the new concepts of the evolving technology. I have challenged myself to keep up with the new technology that comes out to keep me current so I will be an asset to any company.  The vision I have with the business and technology management degree, is to be able to take a management position in any company and help the company grow into a successful business. . I wanted to join the business management degree because, I would like to be a part of the computer world but also know how the business side of the company works. The strength’s I have in the business management degree is I have taken many business classes before and understand how a business is run and the fundamentals of what a business needs. I understand how to write a business plan. I also wanted to go to school first before I decided to join the military just in case I need to have a degree to fall on if I am not able to join.  

               Neumont University is a two and a half year technical school that pushes their students further and harder than any other school. I enjoy having many challenges and thought this school would make me work harder and push me more to the best of my abilities.  Neumont has been a very group oriented working environment that gets the students prepared for the real working world. The school is a year round and just like a normal workday from eight a.m. to five p.m. The experiences I have had with this school so far have been very good and bad. The good is teachers are willing to work with the students to make sure they are successful and in a close nit community. Some of the bad experiences I have encountered have been with some of the groups I have had to work with. The team did not have very strong members that were lazy and did not understand or do their part of the project. The factors that led me to study at Neumont University was it was a technical school, high career placement after school, and takes two and half years. I am still not finished with my adventure through Neumont University and I cannot wait to further my education. I will continue to write more about my adventure’s through school, my degree, and my personal life. A successful life is earned by hard work and dedication to the areas you love. I live my life with this attitude.
